Zion Winter Sunset

Zion Winter Sunset

Sunset in Zion National Park, December 2014

I stood in this field for more than an hour as the sun moved behind the trees and then behind the mountain. I enjoyed watching the light change, moving from sharp back lighting to intensely deep blues and pinks as the sun completely disappeared. I took many panoramic shots as the light changed. This 180 degree image is one of the first. I like the way the sun through the trees creates the illusion of a big spider web.

As with all my photographs, this image is available on canvas, metal or as a standard print in various sizes. Feel free to contact us at 702-240-6777.
